A Diary of Small Things

In everyone's life, even in the darkest places, there is something that brings them happiness. My name is Cliff Cumber, and this is my attempt to find those moments and catalog them day-by-day with a photo, a drawing, a line or two.

If you feel inspired, I hope you'll join me. One moment of joy, every day.

This my wife, Laura, and I a few months ago in Front Royal, Va. We were somewhere along the Skyline Drive.

This is how wonderful she is: She surprised me with three days in a fantastic B&B there. Why? Just because.

On top of that, she’s one of the kindest, most passionate people I’ve ever met. I could go on and on about how wonderful a mother she is, how I wouldn’t be the man I am today without her, and how I feel like we’re meant to be together. But I won’t. Let me just say she went away for a few days last week and I really, really missed her, and I’m glad she’s back.

This one’s for the happy, every day.
