A Diary of Small Things

In everyone's life, even in the darkest places, there is something that brings them happiness. My name is Cliff Cumber, and this is my attempt to find those moments and catalog them day-by-day with a photo, a drawing, a line or two.

If you feel inspired, I hope you'll join me. One moment of joy, every day.

Every year I take a picture of this cherry blossom tree in my back garden (I’m sure my good friend and expert amateur horticulturalist Jessica Hibbard will correct me on the species if I’m wrong).

I don’t know why. I guess its blossoming marks the point where I’m ready to call spring. I noticed this morning that the tree is about to flower. When it does, it’s beautiful.
